sharingVillage Survivor Groups is a self-help/educational organization dedicated to the well-being of survivors of cancer, crohn’s disease, IBS and other life altering disorders from time of diagnosis and beyond. 

Along with our adult programming we rescue childhoods through Driving For Surviving, A Pediatric Equestrian Carriage Driving Program For children.

This unique sharingVillage young survivors program is designed to meet the needs of children who have experienced a life impacting diagnosis and now are planning a post treatment lifestyle.

Driving for Surviving addresses this experience physically, mentally, spiritually and socially.

Participants in this program explore these issues through the camaraderie of an expertly taught multi-disciplinary program incorporating the complete equestrian experience.

Our mission has expanded through our successful efforts to rescue horses from slaughter and train them as vital members of the Driving for Surviving team.

Thanks to your generosity and countless hours contributed by our Coaches and Volunteers, children can participate in the Driving for Surviving program.

Our "Wounded Healers," both animal and human and the natural environment, are similarly confronting life threatening illness. They are called into service to facilitate healing using the group, individual and equestrian dynamic.  

Our core belief is interconnectedness of human to animal to land: a philosophy for mutual survival. 

Knowing that these diseases challenge the human condition on all fronts, our goal is to provide the tools that encourage patients to gather the courage and dignity necessary to confront and conquer their own personal battle.
